Best Of Friday Flash – Volume One

A Collection Of Short Fiction

Edited by J. M. Strother
Friday Flash is a weekly global writing event. Writers worldwide post flash fiction, stories of 1,000 words or less, and announce them via the #fridayflash hashtag on Twitter or Facebook. Friday Flash is a true community – a virtual online writer’s colony. This collection gathers sixty-seven of the very best – from humor to horror, slice-of-life to science fiction – under one cover.

Quick update ~ August 13, 2010: My sons found it funny yesterday when I told them that Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for me. Not lucky as in winning the lottery or anything, just usually a better day than most. When they laughed I only hoped I didn’t fall and break my neck today, proving myself wrong and giving them something to truly laugh about.

I’m happy to say today has been not only a good day but a lucky day – I learned that the first volume of The Best of #Fridayflash Anthology, which includes my story, Brotherly Love will debut this coming Tuesday, AND that the first edition of The Howl Literary and Arts Review, which includes my memoir, The Avocado Christmas, has just been finished and will be in stores within the week. How’s that for a lucky day? :) I’ll have photos of these works up as soon as I have them in my hands, and will post links for purchasing soon.

This is the first edition of The Howl and will be available IN PRINT, locally, in just a few weeks. [I will post a picture when I receive my copy.] This is also the second publication of The Avocado Christmas. Thanks very much to Philip R. Ferguson, English, BHSS, of Virginia Highlands Community College, for accepting The Avocado Christmas.
