About Deanna Schrayer

Deanna Schrayer is an author of fiction and creative nonfiction, residing in southwest Virginia, US, with her husband, two sons, and too many pets. 

Writing is Deanna’s lifelong passion.  Her journey began as a young girl when she realized that pouring her heart out on a blank page resulted not only in poetry but also the feeling of freedom and contentment that was otherwise obscure.  That poetry soon morphed into short stories and essays.  Deanna is continually discovering something new through her writing, and looks forward to experiencing where it takes her next.  She is currently enjoying refining her skills as a short fiction writer.
