Bless Elizabeth’s heart, she’s deemed me a Super Peep in the Super Peep Club. Thank you Elizabeth! I feel so honored that you believe I’m a Super Peep, especially since you are such a Super Peep. Y’all be sure to check out Elizabeth’s blog, Ramblings. Elizabeth displays many traits that make her a Super Peep, but the one I appreciate most about her is her straight-forward, honest approach to life. She tells it like it is, period.
For some reason, when I read ‘Super Peep’ the song Super Freak, by Rick James kept popping into my mind and now it won’t go away! In fact, that song may very well have described the “Girl I Used To Be a Long Time Ago”. Enough said!
Now, to recognize some of my favorite Super Peeps – and this is really hard y’all because there are so many of you out there that bring so much joy to my life.
- Anne Tyler Lord’s kind heart and genuine need to help others makes her a Super Peep.
- Marisa Birns’s touch of humor, and heartfelt stories, makes her a Super Peep.
- Linda Simoni-Wastila’s superb gift for touching hearts everywhere makes her a Super Peep.
I could go on and on – as I said, there are many friends out there in the big ole’ virtual world that make my life so much better, in so many ways. I appreciate you all very much, and you will forever be a Super Peep to me. Thank you all so much for your friendship!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most of you know that I have A Lot on my plate right now – several Big Projects at my “real job”, trying to write a novel, (I’m in that tough “I don’t know what I’m doing” stage at the moment), submitting short stories to contests, attempting to teach my son, who has High Functioning Autism, about the difference between fact and fiction, baseball season for my youngest son…..I could go on and on, but I’ll stop. Y’all certainly don’t need to hear me whine.
Because of all this….Life, I felt it was time for a Soothing Sunday, so I hope you’ll head on over to Deanna’s Happy Accidents to read Plop-plop, Fizz-fizz, the story of our camping excursions when I was but a wee girl, and my recipe for fried trout. I needed a relaxing, and cherished, memory to fall back on. I hope the story brings a relaxing moment for you too, and maybe even helps you recall some cherished memories of your own.
Thank you again Elizabeth for including me in the Super Peeps Club! And thank you to my readers for your loyal friendship!
Oh, thank you so much for this, Deanna. I absolutely adore being your Super Peep. And I do love the other people in this club!
I must say that one of the great things about going to Twitter was meeting so many wonderful people. You are definitely one of them, dear! I wish we “knew” each other in real life because that would make me very happy.
Until then, good luck with all your projects. I know you will be successful.
Thank you Anne, Marisa and Jai! I hope we can meet in person some day. Wouldn’t it be great if we could get together for a week-long writer’s retreat? Of course it would have to be at an all-inclusive beach resort.
Congrats on the Super Peep Award, Deanna. And wow, thank you for passing it along — I am honored. I love the way the SPC is making the rounds, showing what a small and wonderful community we have. Funny how it makes you sing SUPER FREAK in your head; I see those marshmallow birds and just get hungry.
Thanks also for sharing a touch of your life — our obstacles often transform into gifts.
And put me down for a week-long writers retreat. :^)
Peace, Linda
You’re very welcome Linda, and so deserving.
I love your quote “our obstacles often transform into gifts” – I believe I need to make a poster of it and hang it above my desk, it’s so inspirational. Or at least it can serve as a reminder when I feel like throwing something across the room.
You’re space at the retreat is reserved!
Congratulations on the award, Deanna! As you suggested, I will relax with a cuppa (coffee is my poison as opposed to iced tea) and get into some of your other posts. Looks like we may have more than a few topics in common!
Thanks so much for stopping by Hema. I admit – I’m a coffee fiend too, and it’s about time for another cup.
Sorry for putting the freaky song in your head Elizabeth. Wait a minute, no I’m not! I had to get it in someone else’s head so I wouldn’t be so alone!
Thank you for admitting me to the Super Peeps Club!
Aw, thank you Paige, that is so sweet of you. I hope to get over there and say a proper thank you soon, but I actually had a Very Bad Day, and just want to go cry myself to sleep.
I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers very much, and I will fill you in as best I can as soon as I’m able.
